The large cathedral painting in the center has been
identified as the work of Elena Brockman y Llanos.

Jesus and John the Baptist [as boys] with a Shell (artist unknown),
exhibited in the Rotunda, Women's Building, 1893 Exposition.


The woman artist of "Jesus and John the Baptist [as boys] with a Shell" [and a lamb]
(see center right in the larger image above) is still unidentified, but one source has listed
the painting itself as being "After Esteban Murillo." The original Murillo painting is from
1670 and is owned by the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain.
